Welcome to www.culturalheritagepublications.com (the “website”) where Cultural Heritage Publications display and sell their books subject to the conditions set out on this page. Please read these conditions carefully before using the www.culturalheritagepublications.com website. By using the www.culturalheritagepublications.com website, you signify your agreement to be bound by these conditions.

  1.  Automatic information
    Certain types of information need to be stored whenever you place products in your shopping basket. Like many websites, we use cookies to do this. The stored information is related exclusively to the products selected for purchase and is stored on your computer.

    Moreover, this website, or any portion of it, may not be reproduced, duplicated, copied, sold, resold, visited or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose without our express written consent.
  4. Your conduct
    You must not use the website in any way that causes, or is likely to cause, the website or access to it to be interrupted, damaged or impaired in any way whatsoever. You will understand that you, and not Cultural Heritage Publications, are responsible for all electronic communications and content sent from your computer to us and must therefore use the website for lawful purposes only.
    You must not use the website for any of the following:
    o For fraudulent purposes or in connection with a criminal offence or other unlawful activity;
    o To send, use or reuse any material that is illegal, offensive, abusive, indecent, defamatory,
    obscene or menacing; or in breach of copyright, trademark, confidence, privacy or any other right; or is otherwise injurious to third parties; or objectionable; or
    which consists of or contains software viruses, political campaigning, commercial solicitation, chain letters, mass mailings or spam;
    o To cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety.
  5. Copyright
    All content included on the website, such as texts, graphics, logos, button icons and images, is the property of Cultural Heritage Publications and is protected by Dutch and international copyright and database laws.
    You may not systematically extract and/or re-utilise parts of the contents of the website without Cultural Heritage Publications’ express written consent.
  6. Our contract
    When you place an order to purchase a product from Cultural Heritage Publications and have provided a valid email address, we will send you an email confirming receipt of your order and containing its details. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product, which we accept when we send you a confirmation email conveying that we’ve dispatched the product in question.
  7. Delivery
    We endeavour to deliver as quickly and efficiently as possible with orders mostly arriving within one to three days in the Netherlands. Elsewhere in the world, track and trace is used so you can follow your order to its destination online. However, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control.
  8. Returns/Cooling off
    If, for any reason, you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it to us at your own expense and in its original condition within 30 days of the date that you received the item. You are also entitled to a statutory cooling-off period of seven business days. When we have received the returned items in goodcondition, we will refund you in full apart from the delivery costs incurred when returning this

  9. Customs
    When ordering goods from www.culturalheritagepublications.com for delivery in counties other than the Netherlands, you may be subject to import duties and taxes that are levied once the package reaches the specified destination. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office or post office for further information. Additionally, please note that when ordering from www.culturalheritagepublications.com, you are considered to be an importer and must therefore comply with every law and regulation of the country in which you are receiving the goods.
  10. Electronic communications
    When you visit www.culturalheritagepublications.com or send us emails, you are communicating with us electronically. We communicate with you by email or by posting notices on our website. For contractual purposes, you consent to receive communications from us electronically and you agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications, which we provide you with electronically, will satisfy every legal requirement as is the case with these communications when shared in writing. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.
  11. Alteration of service or amendments to the Conditions
    We reserve the right to make changes at any point in time to not only our website policies but also these Terms and Conditions of Use. You will be subject to the current policies and Terms and Conditions of Use whenever you are using this website or ordering goods from us. The exception is when any change to those policies and conditions is required to be made by law or government authority, in which case it will apply to orders previously placed by you. If any of these conditions is deemed invalid, void or for any reason unenforceable, that condition will be considered severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.
  12. Events beyond our reasonable control
    We will not be held responsible for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these conditions if the delay or failure arises from any cause that is beyond our reasonable control. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.
  13. Waiver
    If you breach these conditions and we take no action, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies in any other situation where you breach these conditions.
  14. Governing law and jurisdiction
    These conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands. You agree, as we do, to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Dutch courts.
